Trading Operations Analyst

Location: Dubai, UAE | Full-time

Role Overview

Goldstrom is a global, integrated physical precious metals trading and investment company headquartered in Singapore. We have offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, London, Dubai, and Accra. We provide clients with solutions for physical trading, financial trading, mining, logistics, storage, and refining. Goldstrom’s operations cover every aspect of the precious metals supply chain, providing our clients with an end-to-end solution for all of their precious metals requirements.

We are seeking a Trading Operations Analyst to support Goldstrom’s trading desk by overseeing the operational execution and control of physical and financial trades while acting as a key operational interface with banking partners and institutional counterparties. The role is full time, based in Dubai, may require occasional international travel and reports directly to the Managing Director, UAE.

This role sits within Goldstrom’s middle-office function and is designed as a structured development pathway into front-office trading roles based on performance and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Trade Execution & Lifecycle Oversight

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of physical and financial trades from execution through settlement and reconciliation.

  • Act as an independent secondary control function to ensure accurate trade capture and validation of commercial terms.

  • Maintain operational visibility across trade booking, settlement flows, logistics execution, and documentation processes.

Counterparty & Banking Operations

  • Act as a primary operational contact for banking partners, financial counterparties, and trading counterparties.

  • Coordinate settlement and funding-related operational workflows.

  • Issue operational notices and confirmations related to trade execution and settlement processes.

  • Monitor trade-related financial flows and ensure alignment with executed transactions.

  • Support external reconciliation processes with counterparties and banks.

Documentation & Settlement Management

  • Prepare, validate, and track trade confirmations, settlement instructions, and delivery documentation.

  • Ensure documentation accuracy, completeness, and timely issuance.

  • Maintain auditable transaction records in line with internal controls and best practice.

Reconciliation & Financial Control Support

  • Perform daily and periodic reconciliations across:

    • Trade records

    • Invoices and settlement confirmations

    • Physical delivery documentation

  • Identify discrepancies and coordinate resolution with trading, operations, and finance teams.

Reporting & Market Support

  • Produce internal operational and performance reporting including trade margins, cost attribution, and execution metrics.

  • Support market analysis activities including price monitoring and commercial reporting.

  • Maintain Excel-based reporting and reconciliation tools.

Trading Desk Development Pathway

  • Provide operational coverage support to the trading desk where required.

  • Participate in structured training and desk exposure to develop understanding of deal structures, pricing mechanisms, and market drivers.

This role is designed as a structured progression pathway into Goldstrom’s front-office trading team based on performance and business needs.

Candidate Profile

Experience

  • 1–4 years experience in commodities operations, trade finance, middle office, settlements, banking operations, or transactional finance roles.

Technical Skills

  • Strong Excel and analytical capability.

  • Working understanding of physical commodity settlement flows and financial transaction processes.

  • High numerical accuracy and strong control discipline.

Personal Attributes

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced trading environments.

  • Strong communication skills with institutional counterparties.

  • Commercially motivated with interest in trading roles.

Language Requirements

  • Fluent English (mandatory).

  • Working proficiency in French or Spanish (required) to support engagement with international counterparties in operations, documentation and communications.
